Faster media, stored by Ajinsy

Your photos and videos now live in Ajinsy's own storage in the EU, load several times faster for you and your clients, and go to your Google Drive only if you ask for a copy.

Your media now lives with Ajinsy

Every photo and video your agency uploads is stored by Ajinsy from today, on storage in Falkenstein, Germany, run by Hetzner, in the same place as the rest of the app. Until now that media lived in your own Google Drive and the app read it back from there every time anyone opened a post.

The files you had already uploaded were moved across for you, and nothing was taken out of your Drive. Every original is still sitting in the folder it was in.

What changes day to day

  • Media opens several times faster, both inside your workspace and on the review links you send clients. This is the change you will feel first.
  • Video uploads run in parallel. A video now goes up in several pieces at once instead of one slow stream, with a progress bar while it runs and a Cancel button that really stops it. One video can be up to 2 GB.
  • A post can carry up to 30 photos, uploaded the same way.

Google Drive is now a copy, not the storage

Connecting Drive is optional. If you want your own copy of everything, turn on the toggle in Settings > Media storage and every new upload is copied into your Drive as well, filed by client. To copy one client's whole library at once, open that client's vault and use Organize in Google Drive.

Ajinsy never deletes anything from your Drive. Disconnecting it stops the copying and changes nothing else: your media stays where it is and everything keeps working.

How much you can store

Each plan now includes a media allowance: 2 GB on Free, 25 GB on Starter, 250 GB on Pro, and unlimited on Enterprise. What you are using, and how much is left, is shown on the usage bar in Settings > Plans. An upload that would take you over the allowance is refused, so if you are near the line, clear out old media or move up a plan.

Also in this release

  • Lists and calendars now show a small thumbnail of each image instead of loading the full file, so a busy month scrolls smoothly.
  • The public site has been rebuilt, with a walkthrough that shows the product working rather than describing it.
  • The support assistant inside the app has been taught all of the above, so you can ask it where your media is, what your allowance covers, or how the Drive copy behaves.

Tell us how it feels in the support chat: what got faster, what did not, and what you would like us to fix next.
